Leland Klassen of Saskatoon bills himself as "Canada's only Mennonite comedian." The stand-up comic filled a 540-seat theatre here to overflowing on January 13, bringing together his Mennonite heritage and family experience to create his own brand of humour. Klassen's parents were Mennonite Brethren. He grew up in a Methodist church in Prince Albert and now attends the Alliance church, but he maintains connections with his Mennonite roots.
